The 10-gigabit connector, with IDC-connection, was developed to provide quick, simple, secure and, most importantly, tool-free wiring. In addition, zinc die-casting makes the connector more robust and therefore suitable for industrial applications and as it is fitted with a protected locking clip means it is suitable for meeting the requirements of harsh industrial environments.

Weidmüllers IE product line fulfils the requirements for 10 GBit Ethernet, according to IEEE 802.3an, up to 500 MHz.
